Irish translation! Rum de rum ’rud a derimo. What does that mean?
Hi everyone! I'm trying to understand the meaning of the phrase “Rum de rum ’rud a derimo.” I believe it’s Irish and it’s a line from a Clannad song. Could anyone help me with its translation? Thank you!

Rud means ‘thing’, ‘a derimo’ is spelt wrong and i can’t make out from the phonetics what it’s meant to say. ‘Rum de rum’ also has no meaning but again may be wrongly spelt, if you can get the proper spelling i’ll translate it.
I presume you mean ROM that’s examine purely memory (pre-programmed training on a chip that are actually not in many situations replaced) RAM is Random get entry to memory that’s the working memory of your computer e.g once you load up information superhighway Explorer this technique is administered right here
Don’t think it means anything. in Trad irish music there is sometimes this sort of lilting singing (don’t know its proper name) made up of nonsense that forms part of the song
the entire chorus of the song ‘Let grasses Grow and waters flow’ is made up entirely of this kind of stuff
‘Diddly iddiyl idle um diddly oodle idle um diddly yoo rye diddly I day’
think of yodeling only not as loud
Having said that it could mean something and you just have not spelt it properly.
“Rúm” is an Scottish island, probably meaning “wide island” in Gaelic.
“rud” means “thing”, “affair”, “business”, “circumstance”, “item”, “matter” or “pudendum”
But I think the words are more about imitating a sound, like drums rolling maybe.
