Is a second interview a good thing?
Is having a second interview a good sign? I've heard that it usually is, but my current job experience has me questioning that. My manager told me that she had me do a second interview with another manager because she "wasn't sure about me." I did eventually get hired, though!
Recently, I had my first interview at Jamba Juice, and they scheduled me for a second interview this morning. The interview seemed to go well; there were lots of smiles and laughs between me and the manager and, possibly, the assistant or co-manager. They mentioned that I would hear back from them in a few days.
I'm still uncertain about what this means. Did they bring me in for a second interview because they liked me, or were they unsure about me? Additionally, my first interview was originally supposed to be with the assistant or co-manager, but she was busy, so the main manager interviewed me. Could the second interview have been an opportunity for the person I was initially supposed to meet to finally get the chance to interview me?

You’re overhtinking this. If th4e first person doesn’t like you, then they dodn’t sschedule a second interview.
Usually a second interview is a good thing. It almost always means the person who first interviewed you saw no reason to remove you from the pool of applicants.
Once in a while a second interview means the person who conducted the first one made some mistake–failed to include someone who needed to be there, forgot to ask important questions, like that. But that’s unusual.
