Is a paper plate oven-safe?

I am all out of aluminum foil and need to bake something that cannot be placed directly on the metal rack. Can I bake, not broil, with paper plates and bowls without them potentially catching on fire?

You would be better off putting what ever it is you need to bake into a frying pan (unless it has a plastic handle otherwise you can take thethe handle off of a pot lid and place your item on that. Do NOT use a paper plate... Show More

It maximum incredibly won't burn if set to the right temperature; I DO it continuously at 3 hundred F. all of us one pronounced no or some thing impolite is blind to the burning component of paper/paper towels (style of four hundred-500) and did 0 learn. If one paper towel have been to catch on hearth, that's on your steel oven and could burn out immediately besides. no remember if or not chemical ingredients are released from the paper towel i'm unsure yet there is assorted chemical ingredients that help will shade and sturdiness in paper towels. they're going to burn interior the microwave.... I would not try that...... IF nothing else, the plate may bend or break and make a huge mess.... Show More
