Is Dove Soap bar a good face wash?

The original white Dove soap was created for the face and it is not regular soap that dries out the skin. It says on the package that the ingredients are actually 25% moisturizing cream, so if you are looking for a product that cleans your skin while moisturizing and not stripping its natural oils, yes it is good as a face wash. If you have other issues like acne or clogged pores, you might need something else.

Yes. I am 65 years old and use Dove beauty bar every morning. Splash your face with warm water. Lather your hands with the soap and hand-wash your face. Flush your face with cupped hands under running water, splashing all areas of your face until the soap is rinsed off. Take the towel to dry your face, but don’t rub. Just pat the water/moisture off your face, then while it is still damp put on face cream. Been doing my morning beauty wash like this since I was 11 and been using Dove since it came onto the market. It works. I look 45. Limited dry skin wrinkles. Go girl!

Ok so I literally just went out and bought a Dove white soap bar and used it on my face. I’m now using this as my face wash, because I’ve tried everything and it’s getting very tiring. I was using Neutrogena’s deep clean cream cleanser, but it’s not necessarily doing anything so…

Dove soap is the best thing i have discovered in 2015! my skin has been realy dry and even began to have very obvious crawfeet at the edges of my eyes and kept changing soaps. i discoverd Dove products and now use the cream bar soap for face the whole body and within a month i have no wrinkle on any part of my face and my skin is now soft and dewy and supple and i also use Dove lotion for dry skin(i am 52 years)

Dove is a very good brand. But I’ve heard thay using bar soaps is bad for your face skin because it removes too much of the healthy oils. Are there any dove products that are particularly created for face wash because they might be better. hope it helps ?

It is actually! It was invented more for a feminine wash. That’s what a Dr. will tell you to use to that area. It’s the best soap for skin. But if you’re wanting something to get rid of oil, use Bert’s Bees tomato soap. The acid in the tomato will kick it in the butt! I used it for my acne, and it was the best thing I did for my skin. And, it’s all natural!
