Is graduating from high school at 19 too old ?
I'm 17 years old and currently a sophomore in high school. When I moved to the U.S., I was placed in a grade below where I should have been. My birthday is on February 2nd. I have the option to take summer school and virtual classes, but my counselor says that might not be a good idea. Do you think graduating at 19 is too late? I would really appreciate your opinions. I feel ready for college, so what can I do to graduate on time? Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm feeling confused and a bit desperate. Thank you!

Not at all. Both my son and daughter were and will be almost 19 when they graduated.
They were both born in September. The cutoff date for starting school in first grade was Aug 31, so they just missed it and were with days of being 7 years old when they started. No big deal at all and they both have done well and the oldest is in college now.
Then main thing is you graduate, it doesn't matter if you are 100 years old. Just graduate and don't rush it.
Most people who are 19 and a senior in high school got held back a year or started school late when they were young. Either way is okay, as long as you graduate high school. I was 18 senior year of hs.
Not really I think the most age you can be in High School is 21 or something like that i am going to graduate at 17 but I know other people that are going to be 18 or 19....so it really deson't matter as long as you graduate....you shouldn't be worried.

A lot of people graduate from high school at 19, Lots of people start their kids in kindergarten a year late, which of course means they graduate later. Lots of other people, like you, are older than the average because of transfers. It's not a big deal.
No, it is not too old. Most people graduate at 17 or 18, but 19 is not uncommon. Just study hard, do all your assignments, and you will do fine entering college at 19. Good luck. =)

It doesn't matter how old you are as long as you graduate! I'm 28 and just now graduating college! Life isn't a race, things happen when they happen!
No, I commend you for hanging in there and graduating. My son has a guy in his class that will be almost 20 when he graduates, and we have even told him that he is one in a million for doing so, and not to let other kids/guys give him any crap about it.
honestly .. i think as long as you graduate from high school is the most important .. i dropped out and realized how important it was .. now im back in and im almost cought up.. ill be 18 and a half when i graduate .. good luck ?
