On a ruler what it 11 divided by 3?

I need to cut an 8/12 x 11 sheet of paper in thirds horizontally.

You have a problem since 3″ 2/3″ would be the correct answer but rulers are normally divided by 1/16 increments. Closest would be 3″ 5/8″. The fold itself will make precision impossible. The easiest way (without a ruler) is to fold both ends of the paper inward at the same time – that will give you 1/3 folds – hard to explain without an illustration... Show More
