Physics question, help please….?
A block with a mass of 0.5 kg is pressed against a horizontal spring with negligible mass, compressing the spring by a distance of 0.2 m. When the spring is released, the block travels across a horizontal tabletop for a distance of 1.00 m before it comes to a stop. The spring has a force constant of 100 N/m. What is the coefficient of kinetic friction (μk) between the block and the tabletop?

The spring potential will be converted to friction work
½kx² = (μmg)d
μ = ½kx² / mgd
μ = ½100(0.2)² / 0.5(9.8)1.0
μ = 0.40816…
μ = 0.41
I hope this helps.
