Problem with lateral thigh trainer?

I recently purchased a lateral thigh trainer, but I’m experiencing an issue with the paddles being stuck at the same level. I’ve tried stepping down hard on it, but it doesn’t budge at all. I can lift the paddle manually, but it just falls back onto the base. I’ve heard that there might be a way to unlock it. Can anyone provide guidance on how to do that? I’ve reached out to the company I bought it from, but I haven’t received a response, and it appears they have stopped selling this model on their website. Is there a fault with this product? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It is likely the paddles are just stuck from being stationary for so long in the box, and it is normal for you to be able to lift them without effort.

To unstick them turn the speed setting as far as you can to fast then try standing on one side (you might want to hold onto a chair or something). Put your whole weight on one side, it should unstick. If it doesn’t, try standing one foot on each side and put your weight on each as if you were doing the stepping motion. If it still isn’t working try doing the same on different speed settings, but it may be that you aren’t putting enough pressure on it.

If it still doesn’t work you could try returning it to the company you bought it from.

If it is working, remember to always set the speed to fast when it is being stored or you’re not using it, this will prevent it sticking in future.
