Pros and cons of Yorkies :)))?
I'm soon to be getting a small dog, but I'm waiting about 3-7 months to do so because my grandma is moving in, and things are a bit hectic. Here’s a brief overview of my life: I love exercise and the outdoors, and I'm looking for a dog that can keep me company outside, even though I don’t expect it to climb mountains with me—just a playful buddy.
I already have one dog and three cats, and they all get along very well, so I need a dog that can adjust to living with cats. Additionally, since my grandma is moving in, it’s important that I have a dog that won't accidentally knock her over. I typically exercise for about 4 to 7 hours daily, so I'm busy, but there will always be someone around to keep an eye on the dog. I will be the primary caregiver, so I prefer a dog that doesn't require constant grooming. I'm also accustomed to late-night potty breaks, so that's not a concern.
Main details: I want a small dog—the smaller, the better. I hope for my buddy to form a close connection with me as its primary owner, as this will be my dog and not a family pet. What are the pros and cons of Yorkies in this situation?

There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. Teacups are runts bred with runts and will generally have health issues. Having said that, Yorkies need to be brushed or groomed regularly. You have to wash the crusties out of the eyes almost daily. If not trained properly you can end up with an annoying little yelper. But, they are also very smart.
U sound good for a yorkie, but they may not be good with cats because of their small size. No matter WHAT YOU DO DO NOT TREAT IT LIKE A BABY!! I absolutely hate it when ppl treat their dogs like accessories, give your dog boundaries an treat him like u would say a German shepherd.
About the yorkie, the well trained well bred ones are sweet, cuddly, easy to train once you let them know to respect you, and are actualy quite energetic. They can bark a lot but train them not to. They are usually one person dogs, but are also quite sociable. Also, teacups are unhealthy, not real dogs. Do not get teacups!!! They are just tints from backyard breeders that give then fancy names!!
Good luck, overall I think a yorkie is a good dog breedfor you, or a shih tzu 🙂
Ps yorkies are hard to housetrajn, simply because they are smaller an have smaller bladders. Keep it in minds.
A Yorkie demands a lot of attention, and proper care is very important. Read up on “pack leader skills.” Yorkies need owners who understand how to expose them to “gentle” leadership. Most of the complaints you hear about Yorkies are from owners who inadvertently “teach” them negative behavior.
Read up on the breed from several sources. Check out some tips about Yorkies, comments about collars(X), harnesses(X), and harness vests(!) Look at some Yorkies in the neighborhood or Yorkie videos to observe their behavior.
Yorkies are really cute and fun, but do NOT get one unless you are ready to spend a lot of time caring for one. They take a lot of work, but the #1 rule of having a Yorkie is to train them when they are a puppy, and do NOT pamper them! You will get a spoiled brat dog. Top 10 rules of training:
1. If you are going to use a “choker” collar, than put the teeth on the outside unless your dog is really bad.
2. If your dog is really bad, than there’s a flap of skin on the back of his/her neck — pick him/her up and shake him/her gently. (It doesn’t hurt.)
3. Do NOT let him/her put your paws up on you, unless invited.
4. Do NOT let him/her eat while you’re eating, or before you’re eating.
5. NEVER, EVER let him/her disobey the rules just because you’re lazy.
6. Groom him about 3/4 times a year.
7. Don’t interfere when he’s/she’s playing with other dogs — they have their own “ranking” among others.
8. Give him/her A LOT of attention.
9. Brush him 2 times a week, and start brushing his/her teeth early, otherwise they will lose their teeth. (Brush him twice a week, because they’re known for losing their teeth.)
10. If its a girl, get your dog spayed.
Also, Yorkies are very territorial, will bark a lot, and don’t get along with cats very well, unless they live with them for the rest of their life, beginning, AT THE LATEST, the first human year of their lives. They are very hyper for the first 18 years or so of their life, but are attentive and want to please.
Last, but most definitely not least, GET HIM/HER OUT OF A HUMANE PET SHELTER!

Pros and cons of Yorkies :)))?
So… I’m soon to be getting a small dog. I’m waiting probably 3-7 months to get it because my grandma is moving in and its hectic. Now here’s my life in a nutshell. I love excersize and the outdoors so i want a pooch that will come sit outside with me, but I’m not saying i want…
1. No such thing as a teacup dog of any size. 7 pounds or less is the standard for a yorkie. Smaller the better can lead to health issue. focus on a HEALTH yorkie regardless of size.
2. you cannot force a dog to pick you as their one person. Hell for all you know the dog will bond to grandma more than you. Second you live at home with your family its a family dog whether you like the notion or not.

There are trainging techniques that you can use. Learn here https://tr.im/BNwiW
HEEL:
1. A dog straining on the lead is the result of improper early heel-training. Reinstruction will be required to remedy the fauly.
2. Correct positioning ensures that the dog can anticipate the owner’s actions such as a change in direction, sudden stop or new instruction.
3. A lagging dog can also indicates bad heel training. Frequent sharp tugs on the check chain should encourage the dog to keep up with its owner.
SIT:
1. On the command ‘sit’, press the dog’s hindquarters firmly down with your left hand while keeping the dog’s head supported in the air.
2. Keep the lead taut in the right hand, giving it a slight upwards pull as you press the hindquarters down to help the dog respond.
3. Crouching down beside, but not over, the dog may prove helpful in teaching more unruly dogs to perform the exercise.
SIT STAY:
1. Pul the dog in the sit position by holding your hand up in front of the dogs face and giving the command ‘ sit’ in a firm voice.
2. Then move in the front of the dog jerking on the check chain if any attempt is made to move. If the dog does move, start agian.
3. Keeping your hand high up in front of the dog, and repeating the command ‘stay’, back off bit by bit, increasing the space between you.
SPEAK:
1. Tell the dog to speak, if he doesnt, the owner must bark to encourage the dog to bark
2. soon enough the dog will bark
