Recieve vs receive?

"Which word is spelled correctly: 'recieve' or 'receive'? I usually type the first one, and my spellcheck never flags it as incorrect, but someone recently told me that the correct spelling is actually the second one. Can someone clarify?"

“I don’t give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way.” ~Samuel Clemens, a.k.a Mark Twain

btw, and as mentioned above, it’s receive (i before e blah blah blah)
