Shower- Can you get a non electric shower?

My family had our bathroom fixed with a new bath combined with shower which is not electric and you have to manually use it. I am really dissapointed because we all wanted the normal electric shower combined with bath where you just stand and let the shower on lol and is mounted against a wall. The guy who fixed our bathroom said its not possible because we have the “heating” system and it only works for people who have boilers.Is it still possible to get a shower where is is mounted against the wall, but non-electric and doesn’t require a boiler?

There is no electricity involved with the shower. The water pressure comes from the city water treatment plant pumping the water, under pressure to the home. Some people have electric heated hot water, if propane or natural gas is unavailable to heat the water.

No showers have electricity, it’s just pressure/valves. The only electric part would be your hot water… but where I live, most people have gas hot water.I’m not sure what you’re asking exactly. When I search electric shower on google, it displays photos of this strange device that’s fixed to the wall and you press a button and the water comes on. So… you don’t turn the knobs. Are you talking about having to manually turn the knobs?? lol because if that’s what you’re saying, most people all over the world have a hot and cold tap, that you manually turn.???

yes you can – but maybe not in your area. An electric shower is another version of ‘on demand’ hot water heating, and can be very economical, especially if you have an electric water heater. It is not common in western countries and people don’t usually use them if they have a central hot water source. To use it in your bathroom, the plumber would have to install only the cold water, and the electric water heater would heat the water to your preferred temperature. It sound like perhaps your family hasn’t quite adjusted to the advantages of central water heating. Try it out for a while, most of the western world uses it, even though it seems strange to you right now.Good luck!
