Is it true that green eyes indicate a highly toxic body?
According to a former owner of a small health supplement store, my green eyes are a sign of a highly toxic body. He claims he can assess a person's health by examining the irises of their eyes. The next time I visited his shop, I brought my daughter, whose eyes are very similar to mine, to show him that the green eyes are genetic. He said that her body was also full of toxins, even though she was only eight or nine at the time. What do you think?

I have an environmental toxicology background and can assure you with 100% certainty that your green eyes are not a result of body toxicity. In rare cases, such as with exposure to mercury, the color of the eyes may change hue and darken. However, this is extremely rare.
Green eyes like yours are strictly due to your genetic makeup. Most people with green eyes have ancestors from Northern and Central Europe.
One's eye color has to do with genetic makeup. Areas of the world with the highest populations of green-eyed people include, but are not limited to, Siberia, Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, and the Czech Republic.
My son has bright green eyes like yours, and my entire family is from Eastern Europe.
I hope this helps, and please know that you are not toxic. Take care and have a great day.... Show More

According to iridology, the study of the iris, green eyes are considered a sign of highly toxic bodies. Iridology examines the stages of the body to identify any signs of disease, illness, or defects in a person. It is believed that the color reflected in the eyes is a clear indicator of a person's physical condition. However, this has become a very controversial subject, as there is no evidence that the iris of the eye has any connection to any organ or other part of the body aside from the eye. Therefore, there is no proof to support the claim that green eyes are highly toxic. You should not worry about such suppositions and continue living your life as you have.... Show More

There are diseases that can affect the sclera of the eye but not the irises. The sclera are supposed to be white; however, in cases of liver failure, they may appear yellow. The color of the iris, as you stated, is genetically controlled. Your "advisor" is completely misinformed.... Show More
