Can you use a hot tub with shingles?
I am 15 years old and have shingles under my right armpit. I have had them for about a week and a half. My doctor mentioned that, since I am younger, I am healing faster than older individuals. The shingles are almost gone and are no longer painful. They are at the point where they are pus-filled, but they are mostly gone. I really want to use the hot tub, but I am unsure if it is safe with the chlorine and other chemicals. Can I use the hot tub, or should I wait until the shingles are completely gone?

This is not medical advice; please visit a doctor.
Unless someone has never had chickenpox, the chances are virtually nil. Additionally, the heat from the hot tub and the chlorine in the hot tub will also help prevent the spread of any viruses.
