Through what mechanism do the light reactions regulate the dark reactions?
How do the light reactions regulate the dark reactions in photosynthesis? Is it through changes in pH, temperature, oxygen (O2) concentration, or ADP concentration?

pH
“Regulation of Calvin Cycle:

Light-activated electron transfer is linked to pumping of H+ into thylakoid disks. The pH in the stroma increases to about 8. The alkaline pH activates stromal Calvin Cycle enzymes RuBP Carboxylase, Fructose-1,6-Bisphosphatase and Sedoheptulose Bisphosphatase.”

I think you can discount temperature and O2 concentration. If it were ATP it might have something to do with it. I don’t see how it could be ADP though.
