Weezer’s song says “Oakley makes the shades that transform a tool”?
I wear Oakley sunglasses, and I recently heard Weezer’s song that mentions, “Oakley makes the shades that transform a tool.” Does this mean Weezer is implying that people who wear Oakleys are tools? Should I stop wearing them? Honestly, I love these sunglasses—they’re high-quality, which is why I bought them. I’ve had them for over six months, and they still look brand new with no fading. What’s the deal with this lyric?

no it means that people who are a tool sometimes wear oakleys to conform to the norm but i think oakleys are great because they almost never break and when they do the company will send you a free pair so it depends on your intentions
its not saying you transform into a tool. its saying that oakley shades transform you from a tool to a cool guy.
