This medication has similiar properties to Valium (diazepam), which may make it addicting. This drug will make him very drowsy. Follow the directions on the label. I’ve been taking cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) for many years off and on, for stiff and tense muscles when I have to stay at my desk and study for 8-10 hours straight. It is non addictive, and I have had no withdrawals whatsoever. BUT! That is me. Some with highly addictive personalities can become dependent on it, and abuse it, especially in conjunction with narcotic painkillers, as it acts as an enhancer. Do be careful if it’s being used with narcotics.
