Hi,I just had (non-alcoholic) eggnog and I feel really sick. I feel really ill and diarrhea-y (but I don’t have diarrhea yet). Could eggnog be the cause of this or no?Thank you and Merry Christmas! ð

Actually Eggnog/Chocolate Milk always causes me to feel bad after I drink it. Especially if I drink very much of it. I think it is because I normally drink skim milk instead of full fat milk and whenever I drink eggnog or chocolate milk then I drink the full fat and I’m just not used to it. Dairy products can also cause some people to bloat and that could cause your stomach to hurt as well. You may just be a little sensitive to dairy products without having realized it to now.

If the eggnog was unrefrigerated for too long, perhaps. Just like mayo, it spoils quickly. But the most common reason people get sick from eggnog is simply drinking too much of it – it’s quite tasty ðLight eggnogs don’t agree with my stomach at all… the real stuff is fine as long as I don’t overdo it.

Eugh, I get this all the time! I think it’s because eggnog has a high fat content. I find that getting the light eggnog doesn’t make me feel sick. Try drinking that next time, or don’t drink it at all.

I’m actually looking this up cause this happened to me as well I try to make it a habit to only drink 1 small small cup around Christmas because I just hate how it makes me feel. For me it could be because I only drink milk with small amounts of fat and I also don’t drink milk a lot. I’m not lactose intolerant I just have a sensitivey kinda. But I have been looking it up and it’s common and it’s happening to me now. Don’t you worry
