Is Jashin a real religion?
I noticed that one of my students was wearing a Jashin pendant around her neck. Is Jashin a real religion? What are its beliefs and practices? Should I be concerned about this?

Actually yes it is a real religion, not based off of naruto, it is just simply used on naruto. NOT BASED OFF OF IT, it is an ANCIENT japanese religion. It is a religion that is based on worshiping Jashin ( Jashin sama, lord jashin) They Look to Jashin sama for light, when theyre lifes are dark and gloomy Jashin brings light to their life, in return for blood. and yes i would be worried, very very worried >:)
if any of you would like to know more about jashinism, or conterting, please contact me at

Jashinism is not a real religion, it never was. It was a fictional religion with a fictional deity for the anime Naruto. Jashin was based on the ancient Indian goddess of Destruction, Kālī. A tribe known as the Thuggee ritually sacrificed people in her honor. If anyone tries to tell you that this is a lie they are either trolling you or little 5 year old idiots. The fact of the matter is that this was confirmed by Kishimoto. So all the wannabees with no life saying they are Jashinist are nothing but losers with sad pathetic lives.

Really…you don’t know what a Jashin is, yet you can recorgnize a Jashin pendant?
yes actually it is a real religion
practiced by a lot of people
and no , it didnt come from naruto and it is not a character from naruto either, it is just simply used in naruto. Most people would think it does come from naruto, just because they now heard about it, but like vocaloid prencess said, it is ancient religion so it has been burried, hidden whatever until naruto braugt it out again, but that does not mean naruto created it, it is bassed around self harm and harm of others, and i might be worried, she might just sacrifice you to Jashin

As an avid Naruto Shippuden fan myself, I have to say: No, it’s not a real religion. The religion was created in Naruto, to help elaborate on Hidan’s character, and the concept of the “Will of Fire” that Konoha has. It also shows how awesome the plot in Shippuden is. The writers go to a lot of length in order to bring really unique, and interesting characters into the story. By creating a random religion, it also keeps the authors from being subject to negative feedback by followers of other religions, so it’s really a precautionary method. I hope that helps to explain it. ?

A brief google search would have revealed to you that Jashin is a character from the ‘Naruto’ series of manga and anime. Should you be worried? Only about your own inability to find information on the internet.
