Is PayPal safe or any good?

PayPal is the most recognizable form of online payment (without revealing your credit card) -- that's because they're supported on Ebay and other sites and have strong dispute resolution as well.

One tip I'd give you is, when you sign up for PayPal, use a unique email address. Use this address ONLY for PayPal transactions (notification & payment) and don't use it for receiving mail or any other general purpose. Don't give out your address to all and sundry, and yes, change your PayPal log-in password every 10-15 days at least.

Also, NEVER click on any PayPal links you receive in emails. Always go to the PayPal site and type in your details. Also keep your ant-spyware and anti-virus up to date.

I think it is safe enough. I've had a PayPal account for several years. I use it mostly for E-Bay buying and selling. I don't think that Amazon accepts PayPal. However PayPal does offer a virtual debit card thing that can be used on almost any site and is supposed to keep your info secure. I haven't tried it yet though. I can tell you I have never had a problem with PayPal and they have assisted me with obtaining refunds a couple times on E-Bay.

Paypal is very safe. It's a lot better, (especially for eBay) because the person who is getting the money can not even see one little bit about your credit card information. I have been using it for years now, and it hasen't let me down once!

There are more people with paypal accounts than there are people who file a tax return. Stop worrying, its way bigger than your bank, and has more licenses, oversight, and management.

BEWARE!! I open a account to buy on eBay . Saw a item I wanted on that site. So , I click "buy now" to go to Pay Pal online form , my computer didn t download because she a unknown setting on my computer. Couldn t figure out the problem and to leave it alone cause I was late for appointment. I then have leave home for for 3 days, when return home I decided to use my laptop this time. Pay Pal locked and limited my account. It took 10 minutes going through automatic voiced answer in Customer Support before I got to talked to some idiot. Talked to told and explained to what happen situation trying to make that purchase. He put on hold ,transfer to another person, he put on hold to looked what my account is limited. He came back on telephone which 1/2 hour by now and said "you banned for life for using Pay Pal " Why?? You didn t kept to our Terms & Agreement. Let workout a solution so I can pay the seller for this item. "No, you banned for using Pay Pal. So Pay Pal hurt the Seller on eBay and Blacklist me without giving me a reason why I was banned. SO WATCH OUT.

I believe it is. I've used it for a while now, and so far, no problems. Granted, I don't use it often, but I still use it.
