Lewis Black — comedian, Parkinson’s disease?
Has anyone noticed the way comedian Lewis Black moves his hands and fingers? It seems spastic, somewhat resembling the movements of someone with Parkinson’s disease. Has there ever been any mention of him being diagnosed with it? I mean no disrespect by asking—just curious if it’s something he does intentionally as part of his act, or if it could be an involuntary movement caused by a medical condition. It’s been bugging me that I can’t find any information about this!

That is a part of his act. He doesn't have Parkinsons disease.
I love Lewis Balck!!! He's brilliant!!
Seriously, there are dozens of medical conditions other than Parkinson's that can cause the kind of shaking in the hands that Black exhibits. For example, a person on anti-rejection medication following a transplant can and usually does start to show the same fine to pronounced tremor in their hands as a result of the tough immune system suppressants they must take to keep their bodies from rejecting their new parts. Over time those meds affect affect the body's nervous system, hence the tremor. I'm not saying Mr. Black has had a transplant, just making the case that other, less well known situations can show up with identical symptoms. .

I have Parkinsons. All I can say for sure about Mr. Black is he has involuntary tremor involving both arms and legs. It appears to be more pronounced when he performs, It looks Parkinsonian, but without seeing him walk, it's hard to say. Whatever his dx, I'm sure he's doing whatever he can to help the cause. There are no benign Movement disorders and I wish him well with whatever he has.
My guess, and it's just a guess, is that he has Essential Tremor, a condition that millions of Americans have. It is also known as Familial tremor and is a neurological disorder, common in people over 40, and worsens over time. It is embarrassing and aggravating to the sufferer and Is often misunderstood to be the result of Parkinson's or alcoholism, although it is completely benign and unrelated. There are drugs to treat it but they are often useless.

I have Essential Tremor. I'm guessing that's what Lewis Black has.
Just saw Lewis on Tonight Show. He's definitely slowing down and the shaking is getting worse. That cannot be just a voluntary movement. Not sure what it could be but it doesn't look like it's part of the show anymore. He couldn't even sit still. But, he was still as funny as hell.

I was wondering the same thing! In fact I came across this while doing a search because I'm watching him on the Tonite Show and he definitely appears to have Parkinsons (or something similar.)
He could possibly have essential tremors. Essentially tremors causes mainly the hands to shake but also affects the voice, head and legs. Also, when at rest the Essential tremors are gone but when in movement such a writing, typing , drinking out a cup , lifting things up, etc. will cause shakiness
