The only way I know to describe it is to compare it to someone dragging a safety pin across the skin, pressing deeper as they go. When the artist fills it in, it’s much easier. She/he will be using a needle made to cover a larger area at one time, so it’s not so painful. Tattoos are expensive. The best way to do it is bring a minimum of $100 with you. The price goes up with the detailing. If it’s a simple tattoo, you could probably get by with $40 to $50. Set back about an hour for a 2″ tattoo. It could take more, could take less. It depends on how fast the artist is and how long you have to wait for him/her to be ready to do your tattoo. As far as tattoos go, I always suggest getting something that has some sort of meaning to you. That way, you’re less likely to look at it with regret when you’re older. Don’t let the pain scare you away from getting one!! I love mine and appreciate the pain I went through to have it. My next one is going on my left hand/wrist. ð

To be honest, getting a star tattooed on your hips is an easy way out. Everyone gets stars on their hip bones. I dont know if it has any real meaning. Everyone i know that has it told me they got it because it looks cool. if thats your reason for the tattoo, then i would say do not get it. if something looks cool but has no meaning at all, youre going to hate it one day
