Well I'm French so I can tell you that the pronunciation "core da lane" is wrong. CŒUR means heart and the pronunciation of "oeu" in the word COEUR is the same than the "u" in the word "curly" or than the "i" un the word "first". The pronunciation of the "a" in ALENE is like the "a" of "happy" or "hard". And the pronunciation of the "e" is like the "a" of "any" or the first "e" of "every". And I can tell you ALENE doesn't mean anything in French. And in America you changed the spelling. The real spelling is " Cœur d'Alène" and not "Coeur d'Alene". Hope I helped you! 🙂
