Gana is spanish for wanting to do something. Like you have the will. You can do it. You have the will. You have “ganas”.

Gana is also another word for winning. Like you won something, “ganaste” you won.

1. gana, is one form of the verb “ganar” to win.

El campeon gana el encuentro. The champion wins the match.

2. “No me da la gana de… ” “No me da la real gana de… “

These phrases that the person have decided to not do something, has set his/her mind and no one will convince

him or her to do otherwise. He/she is giving his/her last word on the subject.

as to emphasize a wish.

also, gana can mean he/she/it wins.

well, ganas means desire.

tener ganas de nadar = to have desire to swim.

but gana is like he won.

ella gana is he won.
