What does the Milky Way fragmented spiral arm pattern suggest?
What insights can be drawn from the fragmented spiral arm pattern of the Milky Way? How does this structure inform our understanding of the galaxy's formation, evolution, or dynamics?

the reason is like lets say a sink fill it with water unclog it it starts going down like a tornado sucking everything near it and there for since our galaxy has ablack hole it sucks in mass after mass matter by matter star by star giving it the shape of a huricane and we are not sucked in do to it can only obsorb to certain amount but its gravitational pull is still powerfull en ough to shape our galaxy in a spiral
the orbital speed of the stars in the galaxy doesnt depend on the distance from the center — the galaxy isnt spinning around a single point due to its high density.

Its exactly the same effect you see in a hurricane. Spinning a massive cloud of gas causes bands to recede away from the center.
