I understand abbreviations like "lol" and "lmbo," but what does "uhm" mean when texting? I'm a little confused.

All kidding aside, I think it’s just a pause where they are trying to think of something to say. Think of ummm or hmmm in the same way.

Uhm is the same as ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm like you know if you thinking or sumthing……so if you ask someone a question and they go “uhm ( which is the same as um)” it means they thinking. lol ummmm haha i hope this helpd
