What industry is a lifeguard in?
What industry does a lifeguard belong to? (Examples of industries I’m referring to include public policy, entertainment, printing, engineering, health and wellness, law enforcement, etc.) Thanks!

I would place the lifeguard in whatever industry his EMPLOYER is in. So, the answer is probably "recreation,' because most lifeguards work at pools operated by hotels, apartment complexes, or rec centers.
But it could be "public safety," if, for example, the lifeguard is employed by a beach town. I suppose it could be some other industry as well.
Just as secretaries can be involved in government, commerce, education, and other industries, so can lifeguards.
I hope this helps.
