Edit: Milah…. Pride (thinking you are better than someone else) is always sinful.  In your example BOTH you and the attacker would have sinned.  He for thinking his faith is better than yours, you for taking delight in “defeating” an opponent and thus showing that you were doing the exact same thing as he.

Anyone silly enough to believe such a notion is possible be it in themselves or on some strange man they never knew nailed to a cross.  The only spiritual reality possible is that of negation of self. Pride is of self. So obviously spiritual pride is only possible in the imagination.

To feel one is ahead of others spiritually is as if to be proud of ones humility. Its self defeating and silly yet too common for us.

If one is like paying a game of snakes and ladders in which to win is to reach God. Spiritual pride is like the big smake at 99! 🙂

well i am Muslim. day for example people made fun of me or tried to insult my religion (which had never happened I&rsquo;m just giving example) but i stood my ground and stood for what i believed in and was firm and trusted in what i believed in no matter what. hope this helps!  &#128578;

I agree with Wefmeister.  It’s someone who thinks he or she knows it all spiritually.  Only God, and Jesus is God, knows it all.
