What is a “sextagenerian”?
I came across the term "sextagenarian" in a review of Jim Carrey's new film, "Yes Man," and I'm unsure of its meaning. This word is unfamiliar to me, and I would appreciate any insights. For context, it was used in the following sentence: "hooking up with the saucy sextagenarian down the hall." Here’s the article for reference: http://www.mlive.com/movies/index.ssf/2008/12/just...

Well, there should be not "t" in that word. A SEXAGENERIAN, though, is a person between 60 and 69 years old. Therefore, he means he wants to hook up with a person in their 60's.
Septuagenerian: 70- 79 yrs old
Octagenerian: 80- 89 yrs old
Nonagenerian: 90- 99 yrs old
There are also more.
