3/4 inch also equals 6/8 inch so since 6 is bigger than 5, 3/4 is larger than 5/8

First, you have to make the denominator the same.

So 3/4 = 6/8

You can now compare 6/8 and 5/8.

And the bigger fraction is 6/8 or 3/4.

3/4 and 5/8 dont have common denominators, so to solve it get those

multiply 3/4 by 2 to get 3*2/4*2=6/8

6/8 is bigger than 5/8, which i hope you can figure out

I don’t know which one is bigger, but 3 / 4 ” is longer than 5 / 8″.

When you multiply 3/4 by 2/2 you get 6/8 which is greater than 5/8. Multiplying by 2/2 is the same as multiplying by 1 and it gets the denominators the same in this case so you can compare.
