I'm not from America, but every time I watch an ad on YouTube for a TV show on the Disney Channel, it always says something like "starts at 7/6c." What does this mean?

I live in California, and I’m wondering about TV show schedules. When they say something is going to air at "10/9 Central," what does that mean? What time should I tune in to watch?
