What is the basis of your salvation and righteousness with God – if you consider yourself to be saved, that is?

As a non believer I don’t consider myself to be “saved”, at least not in any religious way whatsoever.

Im not convinced I need to be saved either.

Saved from what?

And what happens when I am saved?

Do I get to live differently?

Or is this just for when I die? Then as long as I have been saved I will inherit everlasting life??

I don’t believe that – I think when you die, you die and that’s it. End of. Finnito. That’s why we have reproduction. Life is just a cycle.

Whilst I am breathing and living I try to be a nice person.

I don’t pray, go to church, read the bible (although I have done for many years prior)..and I consider myself to be an ok girl.

I treat others as I am treated.

One thing I am pretty sure of though – JWs have got it well…wrong!

Knocking on peoples doors selling dodgy magazines and mistranslated versions of the holy bible isn’t works…it’s criminal, fraudulent and sinful!

3. I have confessed the Lord Jesus with my mouth from the belief in my heart that He alone is Lord. (Romans 10:8-11)

4. Most importantly, I have acknowledged that Jesus is who He said He is………the

I AM. He is Jehovah God who spoke to Moses at the burning bush. (John 8:58)

5. My righteousness is completely in Christ (II Cor 5:21)

Christ Jesus, crucified and now resurrected. There is no righteousness to be had except His, there is no salvation to be had except through Him. We have been washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11).

Jesus Christ is not just a prophet or a teacher, He is the one and only Savior God. We can only be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. We are saved when we have a personal and life changing connection and relationship with living God, Jesus.

As a sinner who is separated from righteous God I depend on Jesus Christ. It is through his righteousness and atonement and resurrection I will be made new and joined righteously to God which is eternal life,

This I have today by faith and will receive it literally upon the return of Christ or upon my resurrection.

The bible teaches that the only name under heaven by which anyone will be saved is Jesus Christ. Jesus said He is the only way to the Father. I am saved not because of anything I have done, but only because I have placed my faith in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, as my savior.
