They want to know if you need to use the bus or you get a ride from a friend if you have your own car it does not matter what time your shift starts or ends.This is a measurablity of can you get to work on time.Does the employer have staff parking or do you need to find your own space somewhere. Depending on your situation you may want to indicate something like drive my own car or 20 minute bike ride. 15 minute walk 20 minutes by bus showing that you can still get to work even if something happens to your car.Depending on the job shifts may start or end when there is no bus service or the bus service near the workplace is not frequent. Take all this into account when answering the question.You are saying I can get to work, When do you want me to start.Good Luck

for example If it were I ? being asked ..reply goes like this:

I would use my car but can also use local transport such as train or bus that has links near both me and this place of work.

I also have access to a bicycle and if difficult weather such as heavy Snow? prevents driving or cycling ,I am near enough to walk here and would do so allowing such time as needed to arrive in good time for work.

The only correct answer to that question is that you drive, even if you don’t drive. Employers are very narrow-minded when it comes to transportation. They have the attitude that driving is the only way to be punctual. If you tell them you commute in any other manner they hear “I will be late.” Trust me that question has kept me from getting a lot of jobs.
