Lutherans was started by Martin Luther in  16th century in German. Lutherans was a complete break from the catholic church. The three believes that made each other different are: 1. Catholics recognize seven sacraments and central rituals of the church: Baptism, Ceremony of bread and wine, Confirmation, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Marriage. While Lutherans practice seven rituals, but they follow two sacraments. 2.Catholics honor the Saints and Mary and obey the priests, pope, bishops. while Lutherans only worship Christ and obey the local gathering.3.Catholics acknowledge in faith and life (The Bible and Church Tradition). Lutherans recognize the Bible as their faith and life.
