Are you embarrassed that you child might know that gay means something else too? Children have seen ambiguity in language before, it happens all the time. Now, if you’re embarrassed because you don’t want to say the word gay perhaps the issue is with your acceptance of LGBT people more than your child’s ability to understand a preschool book.
