Im 15 and I think I have hyperhydrosis. I wanted to know if you could buy Drysol over the counter at walgreens without a perscription from the doctor. Keep in mind I live in the US.

Hi Katie-Drysol is available at most drug stores or grocery stores. It depends on where in the US you live. Just make sure that your hyperhidrosis isn’t a secondary symptom of another condition. Drysol is powerful stuff, has a ton of aluminum, and can cause long term health risks. That said, I used Drysol for about five years, and haven’t had any problems because of it. I also found out later, though, that my hyperhidrosis is the result of autonomic neuropathy. In my case, it’s caused by a gluten allergy, but there are many other triggers for it. Since I stopped eating gluten, my hyperhidrosis has gone away completely, (and it was really, really bad). If you have acid reflux, stomach bloating, or difficulty exercising in addition to hyperhidrosis you may want to look into AN as a possible cause. There are other diseases that cause it, though.I understand just wanting to take care of it. Maybe after you buy the Drysol, though, look into other causes that might be triggering it for you. Drysol works, but it’s not a cure-all. For me, it was painful to have on my skin, and it caused me to sweat other places on my body.I realize HH just kind of sucks all around. You can go into any chemist here and buy similar products that do exactly the same as Drysol and they will help. So until your used to what to buy i would recommend going into a chemist we also have them everywhere and asking them for an equivalent product as there are many, good luck
