The correct answer is A) The increased use of barbed wire fencing blocked cattle drives. The statement that describes one reason for the end of long cattle drives is "The increased use of barbed wire fencing blocked cattle drives."The cattle drive was the process in which cowboys moved large numbers of cattle, an entire herd, from one place to the other. It was an important economic activity in the American West from around 1866 to 1895. Cattle drive had many routes such as the Potter Bacon trial, the Goodnight-Loving trail or the Western trail. But the increased use of barbed wire fencing blocked cattle drives to protect private property.

First, there was the intervention of barbed wire.this wire had sharp points on it.settlers used barbed wire to make fences on their property.
"New railroad lines across the Great Plains made it cheaper to ship cattle by rail" would be the best option, not only because of the reduced price, but because of the increased timing and efficiency.

B is the correct answer. As more people began to settle, more homes and fences were built. Thus more obstacles for those performing a cattle drive. It would take much longer to go around the new barbed fences than through the land. Some fences might stretch for several miles, making a cattle drive a longer trip. This is one of the reasons cattle drives ultimately stopped. ?

Good Morning! C.New railroad lines across the Great Plains made it cheaper to ship cattle by rail. With the formation of properties, the installation of fences and the modernization of the transport popularized by the railroads, the movement of livestock has been reduced drastically. Costs were reduced, time was reduced and security increased.  Hugs!
