Athletic scholarship and unsubsidized loan both are not based upon financial need.
Only the athletic scholarhsip which is a merit based award. Any student can get this based on their athletic achievements.
The others are need based, meaning those types of aid are awarded based on the financial needs of the student per federal, state and college eligibility policies.
