Which part of the excerpt hints at frankenstein’s desire to act as god?

Which part of the excerpt suggests Frankenstein's desire to act as God? It may seem quite strange that a disciple of Albertus Magnus should emerge in the eighteenth century; however, my family was not scientifically inclined, and I had not attended any of the lectures offered at the schools of Geneva. Consequently, my dreams remained undisturbed by reality, and I devoted myself with great diligence to the pursuit of the philosopher's stone and the elixir of life. The latter captured my undivided attention: wealth was a lesser goal; rather, what glory would accompany the discovery if I could eliminate disease from the human body and render man invulnerable to all but a violent death? These were not my only aspirations. The raising of ghosts or devils was a promise generously offered by my favorite authors, the fulfillment of which I eagerly sought. If my incantations were consistently unsuccessful, I attributed the failures more to my own inexperience and mistakes than to any lack of skill or fidelity on the part of my instructors. The natural phenomena occurring daily before our eyes did not escape my scrutiny. Distillation and the remarkable effects of steam—processes of which my favorite authors were entirely ignorant—filled me with astonishment. However, my greatest wonder was sparked by some experiments with an air pump, which I observed being used by a gentleman whom we frequently visited.

But what glory would attend the discovery, if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death! Nor were these my only visions. The raising of ghosts or devils was a promise liberally accorded by my favorite authors, the fulfillment of which I most eagerly sought; "banish disease" and "raising of ghosts" sounds superhuman

"if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death" suggests that Frankenstein desires to be like God in making man invulnerable to diseases and banish it.Explanation: In Chapter 2 of the novel "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, we see the young Frankenstein being so awestruck by the power of alchemy and being influenced by the works of Agrippa, Paracelsus and Albertus Magnus. He then began to try to emulate them, looking for ways to save humanity frm the various diseases that plague the world and make men safe from all these mortal afflictions. He began to "the greatest diligence into the search of the philosopher's stone and the elixir of life", forgoing wealth and instead focusing his efforts to the " banish(ing of) disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death". This can only be done by a superhuman figure and none that a mere mortal is capable of. In his attempts to successfully attain these, he desires to be like God who is capable of doing all these and which is against the natural order of things.

For me, the part of this excerpt that hint at Frankenstein's desire to act as God is: "But what glory would attend the discovery, if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death!"Explanation:In these lines, the speaker shows how interested he is in making possible what is humanly impossible. He kind of wants to act as God when he says he wants to end disease and death from the human race, like if it was in his power to do it or even decide it.

if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death part three
I would say " if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death!" because he is talking about taking away a  disease and make man immortal-ish like.

I'm not sure if these are right or even all of them but I feel these quotes hint at his desire to act as god:“[I entered with the greatest diligence into the search of the philosopher's stone] and the elixir of life."“[if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death]!”
