Which statement describes how enzymes and substrates are related?

Which statement best describes the relationship between enzymes and substrates? The enzyme influences the speed at which the substrate is converted into a product. Enzymes are not released as substrates during a chemical reaction. Instead, an enzyme is a specialized protein that interacts with substrates. Substrates combine with enzymes to form a temporary enzyme-substrate complex, which facilitates the transformation into products.

Correct A). The enzyme influences the speed of change from substrate to productThe enzymes are the biological catalyst that speed up the rate of chemical reactions by decreasing the activation energy of the reaction pathway. They increase the speed of change of substrate to the product and it remains unchanged in the reaction. Hence, it can be used again and again.Enzymes are highly specific in nature, only a specific substrate binds to the enzyme's active site. Hence, a particular enzyme is required to catalyze a reaction.

CatalyzeExplanation:Catalysis is defined as the acceleration the of the rate of a chemical reaction, enzymes are natural catalysts that can make more efficient, faster reactions by using less energy and generating less waste.I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

Decrease the activation energy Explanation:For a chemical reaction to occur, the activation energy (the transition energy to move up from the reactant state) must be overcome. Enzymes lowers this activation energy thus speeding up the rate at which reaction occurs

Enzymes are biological catalysts. Catalysts lower the activation energy for reactions. The lower the activation energy for a reaction, the faster the rate. Thus enzymes speed up reactions by lowering activation energy. (www.biology.arizona.edu/biochemistry/problem_sets/energy_enzymes.../01t.html) Hope this helps

Answers is B “ enzymes shape will be different
The answer is A) The enzyme influences the speed of change from substrate to product.Enzymes are biological catalysts. That means they increase the speed of change from substrate to product. Enzymes remain unchanged during the reaction they catalyze. Through the process of elimination:B) is eliminated because enzymes are not released as substrates. These two are different molecules in the reaction.C) An enzyme is not special kind of substrate.D) Substrates combine with enzymes not to form reactants, but to form products.

The true statement that describes how enzymes and substrates are related is A) The enzyme influences the speed of change from substrate to product. Enzymes are biological catalysts which mean tey increase the speed of change from substrate to product. They are not any kind of substrate. Enzymes combine with substrates to form products and not reactants.
