The Bible was written by some 40 men over the course of 1,600 years. Some men were used to write more than one book of the Bible. In fact, the Bible is a miniature library of 66 books. It consists of the 39 books of the Hebrew Scriptures, called by many the Old Testament, and the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, often called the New Testament.
Many people are told that we can’t be sure who wrote the Bible. But the Bible is often clear about who penned its contents. Some parts begin with such phrases as “the words of Nehemiah,” “the vision of Isaiah,” and “the word of Jehovah that occurred to Joel.”—Nehemiah 1:1; Isaiah 1:1; Joel 1:1.
Most Bible writers acknowledged that they wrote in the name of Jehovah, the one true God, and that they were guided by him. Prophets who wrote the Hebrew Scriptures proclaimed more than 300 times: “This is what Jehovah has said.” (Amos 1:3; Micah 2:3; Nahum 1:12) Other writers received God’s message through angels.—Zechariah 1:7, 9.
The various books of the Bible have over 40 authors, who wrote over some 1500 years.

A whole bunch of people are recognized as writing the Bible and some of the authors we don’t even know. Much of the Old Testament was attributed to Moses.
They were referred to as the Books of Moses. Lately it has been thought that Moses wrote very few of these books if any because in them his own family are identified as Gentile.

Which Bible? There are many translations/transliterations. God inspired the original communication with man, who wrote as he was moved by God’s Spirit. God deals with mankind according to principles of right vs. wrong behaviors which He has determined what behaviors are good and which are wrong. So the exact wording doesn’t matter, what matters is that the principle is carried out.
Who wrote the Bible ?
Well if you check the names of the chapters most have the name of the purported Author or Authors as the title.

About 40 different people. We have no idea who most of them were. We do know that Paul wrote part of the books named after him, and part of the letters (Epistles written to the various congregations in Corinth etc. 1st Peter was probably written by him, 2nd Peter was not. Scholars think Timothy was written by a servant of Paul. Most of the rest, including all of the Old Testament, and all of the Gospels have unknown authors. No, the Gospels were NOT written by the Apostles who they are named for (they were named several centuries later)
More than 40 different authors over a 1500 year period, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, God is the author of the Bible.
The fact of the matter, God The Holy Spirit wrote the bible and man of old spoke as the Holy Spirit of God moved them to write that is why all of God prophecy will come true before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes, judgment day. Read Jeremiah 36:4-18
First of all, the Bible is compiled from many sources. If you hear anyone say that the Bible is the word of God, consider this.
The King James Version is a book edited by humans in the 17th Century from 16th Century human translations of 8,000 contradictory *human* copies of 4th Century scrolls authored by *humans* who claimed the scrolls were copies of *human* letters written in the 1st Century.
Does it make sense that God allowed all this human tampering with His words causing multiple misinterpretations about His actual words? Why are the oldest mɑɲυꜱcripts on which the Bible is based only COPIES of mɑɲυꜱcripts which date from hundreds of years AFTER the last apostle died? Why would God need to rely on mɑɲυꜱcripts written and translated by humans? That makes no sense when we hear that God is all-powerful. In dealing with Moses, God had the power to write His actual words on stone tablets. If He could do that he could write his own words directly into a book that everyone could read.
