Why does my Amazon order say it’s arriving today by 8pm when it’s not even “out for delivery?”?
I recently placed an order on Amazon, and when I checked my orders list, it indicates that my package is "arriving today by 8 PM." However, the tracking timeline shows that it is not yet "out for delivery" and is only marked as "dispatched." It is now past noon, and I am concerned about the status of my package. Can anyone explain why it still hasn't been marked as out for delivery despite the promised arrival time?

because they are using local or their own shipping, and if the distribution center is local to you (or in a close by city) then it can leave anytime today to reach you buy 8pm.
I’ve had some orders not show as “out for delivery” until 3pm sometimes. Maybe once every 30-40 orders the delivery is a day late.
i wouldn’t worry about it. if its dispatched, then it should be in the process of getting to you.
Stop treating these things as gospel and treat them as what they are, estimates. There can be all sorts of reasons for a delay and Amazon’s computers can’t account for them.
