Because Microsoft is an enormous company that has a hard time with innovation. They are committed to supported old hardware so their code is massive and clumsy. They want to appeal to everyone so they can't appeal to an avant garde.
Probably because Windows ꜱᴜcκs and it always crashes. Macs are way better.
