anime about mechanics?

I’m looking for an anime that is about mechanics. I really like how in steampunk anime they work with and repair things and was wondering if there is any anime that deals primarily with that.thank you ^_^

Steamboy is about an inventor in a steampunk setting, but it’s more a travelling adventure. http://myanimelist.net/anime/565/SteamboyMiyuki Ayukawa one of the main characters from Basquash! is a mechanic who builds sporting robots http://myanimelist.net/anime/5675/Basquash!Ah! My Goddess! has a strong motor sports theme & the main character is a mechanic/student, & there’s a mecha genius girl, though it’s not the primary theme of the anime. It’s not your typical steampunk either – the world’s basically normal except spirits etc follow fringe metaphysical laws, however heaven is equated to a computer system.
