ATP is made up of adenosine olecule and three phosphate.Explanation:ATP is the energy currency of the cell and help to store energy in the form of high energy phosphate bonds. ATP contains adenosine moiety which has three phosphoryl groups attached with it through phosphoester bond which is followed by two phosphoanhydride bonds.  ATP is produced during cellular respiration in which glucose is oxidized to carbon dioxide by a series of reactions. ATP makes a link between the catabolism process and anabolism process.   It donates a high energy phosphate bond when energy is required by the cell and converts into ADP. So ATP  is composed of an adenosine molecule and three phosphates.... Show More

The right answer is three phosphates.Adenosine (base + sugar) is a nucleoside formed when adenine is attached to a ribose nucleus (as ribofuranose) via a β-N9glucoside linkage. In biochemistry, adenosine triphosphate, often abbreviated ATP, is a substance produced by all living beings known until now. It is necessary for the metabolism of living beings, since it provides the energy necessary for its chemical reactions. Without ATP, there would be no living organism, because without energy, we can neither move, nor reproduce, nor do anything else necessary for our survival.ATP is produced continuously, and if its production is interrupted, it causes a rapid death of the organism.... The right answer is three phosphates.Adenosine is a nucleoside formed by adenine that is attached to a ribose (it's a base+sugar molecule).ATP is composed of adenine, ribose and three phosphate groups forming a triphosphate group. These three phosphate groups are designated, from the ribose outwards, by the Greek letters α (alpha), β (beta) and γ (gamma). ATP is therefore closely related to AMP, one of the monomers of RNA, and to dAMP, one of the monomers of DNA. ATP is very soluble in water. It remains relatively stable in aqueous solution for pHs between 6.8 and 7.4, but is rapidly hydrolysed to more acidic or more basic pH. Therefore, ATP is best preserved as an anhydrous salt.... TrueExplanation:The molecule of adenosine triphosphate consists of one molecule of adenosine and three molecule of triphosphate. One molecule of adenosine consists of one adenine and one ribose. However the base composition material of ATP consists of nitrogenous bases and sugar along with ribose, adenine and phosphate group. The ribose group is attached to the phosphoryl group through the phosphor-ester bond. Hence, the given statement is true... Show More
