can i paper mache over glass?
I recently purchased some paper mache strips and would like to create a tube-shaped object. However, the base of this object is made of glass. If I apply the paper mache over the glass, will I be able to remove the glass once the paper mache has dried?

I would construct a plastic sleeve (e.g. garbage bag and tape) around the glass tube before I put paper mache on it. Especially depending on the glue you use the paper mache will stick more or less firm onto the glass tube. It will be much easier to get out if it doesn’t.
Also you will be able to take out the glass tube if it is straight. If there are bends in it, obviously not without cutting your paper mache.
