Did Less Than Jake do a cover of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by the Proclaimers?

I believe I've come across a ska/punk cover of "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)," originally by the Proclaimers, and I'm fairly certain it's performed by Less Than Jake. However, I haven't been able to find any solid evidence to confirm this or identify the album it might be on. Could anyone provide some clarity on this? Additionally, if you know which album features this cover, I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Yep, you're right about it. Less Than Jake have done a cover version of it, though it's titled "I Would Walk 500 Miles". It's not on any of their albums as far as I know, but it's a nice version of the song nevertheless.

Hope this gave some light into the darkness 🙂

btw, I came across this website with a big database of cover songs, if you have problems with more cover versions: www.coverinfo.de

According to the Wikipedians, that cover is by [spunge]. (Yes, the brackets are part of the name.) It's on their 2004 album "That Should Cover It!"

I have the same cover, it s great! I ve had it on my iPod for years, always thought it might not be LTJ so googled today. I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG0gl4p2F-g So it appears to be a 90 s punk rock band called Down By Law. The cover is mentioned in their wikipedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_by_Law_(band)

Don t think this the Spunge. The comment "I m gonna haver (whatever that means)" strikes me as something an American would say.
