Find (a) sin(α) and cos(β), (b) tan(α) and cot(β), and (c) sec(α) and csc(β). Assume x = 3, y = 8.?

I am given a triangle. Side(a) is the adjacent leg, side(b) is the opposite leg and side(c) is the hypotenuse. Side (a)=?, side(b)= 3 and side(c)=8I used the pythagorean theorem and found that side(a)= square root 55. I am not sure if i am doing this problem correctly, can someone help me with this? thank you in advance!

sinα = cosß = 3/8 tanα = cotß = 3/√55 = 3√(55)/55secα = cscß = 8/√55 = 8√(55)/55“co” stands for “complement’s”, so cosine of ß is the sine of ß’s complement α. The equalities are no coincidence.... Show More
