Gaelic/Irish pronunciation of Flidais…?
I have come across two pronunciations for the name "Flidais": 'fleedaw' and 'fliday' (with a short 'i' sound). Can anyone clarify which pronunciation is correct, or if both are acceptable? I have heard that even fluent Gaelic speakers may be uncertain about this. Is there any truth to that?

er … this does not look like a real word.
There is a spelling rule in Irish Gaelic that makes the spelling that you gave for this "word" impossible. Sure, there are a few (very few) exceptions to the rule, but this is probably not one of them.
Check the spelling ?
Also, both of the pronunciations that you gave would be utterly wrong for the spelling as it is written here. And by the way, I'm pretty sure that fluent, native speakers know the pronunciation of words in their native language. Who is telling you this stuff?
i haven't been partial to my call... yet i assume the pronunciation is alright. i will provide it a 6 BQ2: i like the way Persephone is reported. it has a good sound to it, for my area.
