A vertical cylinder with a diameter of 30 cm is sealed at the top by a frictionless piston weighing 16 kg. The piston is positioned 88 cm above the bottom of the cylinder, and the gas temperature is 309 degrees Celsius. The air pressure above the piston is 1.00 atm. What is the gas pressure inside the cylinder?

Absolute or relative pressure?
The pressure is just the weight of the piston / it’s area
P = 12 x 9.8 / π(0.15)² = 1660 Pa relative
Absolute pressure = 1660 + 101kPa = 102.7 kPa
