How do you say "queen" in different languages? I would like to know how "queen" is expressed in various countries around the world. For example, "reina" is the Spanish word for "queen." Please provide similar translations for other languages. Thank you very much!

French: Reine
German: Königin (the o with dots is pronounced like er as her)
Italian: Regina
Russian: Королева (I'm not sure how to pronounce it though. I know Czarina is the female equivalent to a Czar)
Portugese: Rainha
Japanese: Kouhi
African: Dam
Hungarian: Dáma
Norwegian: Dronning

Well,in Greek it is vasilissa as one said before...
But i like more the word "Βασιλοπούλα"-Vassilopoula ,which was used for young gueens(not princesses) in fairy tales!!!
